The list of victims from the deadly tragedy continues to grow. Another body was recovered from a depth of 554 meters by the Turkish Navy’s search and rescue vessel, the TCG Alemdar. So far, the bodies of four women and one man have been recovered, bringing the total death toll to 13.

A woman aged 55–60 was found on the seabed. The number of missing persons has been reduced to 15. “The

body was transported to Nalbantoglu Hospital. First, the families will be contacted for identification. Next, identification will be carried out through facial recognition. And third, once identification is confirmed through DNA testing, the body will be handed over to the family.”

Investigations are continuing to locate the other missing persons

.”Electrical and acoustic surveys and seabed scans are also being conducted as part of the search efforts. The search for the missing is being conducted with 9 ships and 11 aircraft.”

Relatives of the victims now know they will never see their loved ones again, but they are waiting patiently day and night at the port of Kyrenia until the very last missing person is located and identified

.”These people went home to get some rest for the night, but they are waiting at least for the bodies to be recovered. Their greatest wish and hope is to be able to bury their children, mothers, and parents.”

Meanwhile, the political upheaval in the occupied territories continues following the departure of the so-called former minister of transportation from the government and his dismissal by the pseudo-prime minister. Dark clouds are gathering over Unal Ustel’s party, which has been irreparably damaged by the tragedy. Following Arikli’s removal from the position of so-called “minister of transportation,” a decree also removed the following from their posts: the “deputy minister of transportation” of the pseudo-state, Enver Ozturk, the “director” of the so-called “ministry,” and the “director of the port department,” were also removed from their posts by decree. Efforts on the part of Ustel to calm the angry crowds.
