Atzun Ilicali spoke about Konstantinos Tzolakis, who is excelling for Hull City in the Premier League.
The owner of the English club revealed that he was the one who chose the Greek goalkeeper when he was given the choice between three goalkeepers, while emphasizing that he had set his sights on the 24-year-old during the second leg of Olympiacos’ match against Fenerbahçe, when the goalkeeper saved three penalty kicks during the shootout and helped the Piraeus-based team advance to the Conference League semifinals.

“To be honest, Tzolakis is a special player to me. If you’re wondering where I remember him from, unfortunately, he saved three penalty kicks against Fenerbahçe in the UEFA Conference League. He really hurt us. From that day on, I kept an eye on him, and I’ve been following him ever since. We have Erbil Bozkurt, our goalkeeper coach. I trust him and believe in him wholeheartedly. He gave me three names. One was in Spain, the second was Tzolakis, and the third was German. I chose Tzolakis, and I made the right choice,” the owner of Hull City said.
