New tensions arose between APOEL and AEL fans after the match ended at GSP Stadium.
According to initial reports, clashes broke out between fans of the two teams after the match ended. The same reports indicate that these individuals began throwing rocks and other objects as they were leaving the stadium, which led to the tension.
A large police force present at the scene intervened to restore order; however, according to reports, one police officer was injured and had to be transported to the Emergency Medical Center to receive the necessary medical care.
The same reports indicate that authorities made at least one arrest of a fan.

It should be noted that earlier, before the start of the match, tensions flared when fans of both teams encountered each other in the area surrounding the stadium.
According to the same reports, a fire broke out in dry grass, fortunately without spreading, as it was immediately extinguished by members of the Fire Department who were already on the scene.
The incident ended with the immediate intervention of police officers. At the same time, according to the police, a fan was arrested after a flare was found in his possession as he entered the stadium.
