A 40-year-old man was taken into police custody on Sunday morning in an area of the Municipality of Velo-Vochas in Corinthia.
The man was arrested by officers from the Prevention and Mediation Unit (O.P.D.I.) in Corinth, as he was subject to a pending ruling by the Athens Mixed Jury Court regarding a case of attempted sexual seduction and attempted rape of a minor.

According to the police, during the stop and when the officers informed him of his arrest, the 40-year-old attempted to flee, pushing them away and resisting arrest.
The Velou-Vochas Police Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the case.
