Construction work has been completed on the first section of Faneromenis Avenue in Larnaca, which is expected to open to traffic on September 14, according to the Municipality of Larnaca.
As stated in a press release from the Municipality, based on information received from the Department of Public Works and the contractor for the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan projects, construction work on the first section of Faneromenis Avenue has been completed.
However, it adds, the road will remain closed to traffic traveling from the K-Cineplex toward the large Faneromenis roundabout, until Monday, September 14, 2026, so that road marking work can be carried out.
Starting Monday, September 14, the reconstructed section of Faneromenis Avenue will be safely opened to traffic, the announcement continues.
At the same time, work will begin on the opposite side of the road, which, according to the Municipality of Larnaca, will last for one month.
During these new works, traffic heading toward Nikos and Despoina Pattichi Avenue will be diverted in the opposite direction from the current arrangements.
