A new transfer rumor from Greece links AEL with AEK Athens’ Frangi Pierro!
According to a report by Sport24.gr, the “Lions” are in advanced talks with AEK Athens to acquire the 31-year-old center forward.
The Greek champions are reportedly open to letting the Haitian player go, with the Limassol club willing to cover a large portion of his contract, which expires in the summer of 2027.
The report reads as follows: “Frangi Pierro is headed to Cyprus. Specifically, according to information obtained by SPORT24 from Cyprus, AEK and AE Limassol are in advanced talks regarding the transfer of the 31-year-old center forward from Haiti (1.94 m).
AEK is open to letting him go, with the Cypriot club willing to cover a significant portion of the player’s contract, which expires in the summer of 2027.
As a reminder, the transfer window in Cyprus closes on September 9.
Frangi Piero has made 55 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist for AEK, while in the past he has played for, among others, Maccabi Haifa (43 goals – 18 assists in 106 games), Guingamp (28 goals – 6 assists in 78 matches), and Mouscron (9 goals – 4 assists in 40 matches).”
