Yiannis Konstantelias is expected to undergo surgery today (September 8) to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The Greek star suffered this injury during his debut with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, where, as is well known, he managed to score a goal.
According to the Westphalian club’s plan, Konstantelias will undergo the first phase of his three-week rehabilitation in Germany, under the supervision of his team’s medical staff.
Afterward, the 23-year-old midfielder will return to Thessaloniki for the main phase of his rehabilitation, along with his family. He is expected to return to action in about six months, assuming everything goes smoothly until then.
Of course, Konstantelia’s entire family is expected to be by his side.
