In Greece, Tassos Hatzigiovannis is set to move from Omonia to OFI.
Specifically, on SPORT24’s Box2Box show, it was revealed that the Greek winger is on the verge of joining Christos Kontis’s team.

It should be noted that a report about NOA’s interest in Hatzigiovanis also came to light this morning.
Here’s what the report says: “Tassos Hatzigiovanis (29, 1.75 m) is preparing to wear the OFI jersey, with the Cretans having made significant progress in signing the Greek attacking midfielder and now being very close to finalizing his transfer from Omonia, as revealed by Ilias Kallonas and Antonis Oikonomidis on the SPORT24 show, Box2Box.
Christos Kontis had essentially foreshadowed the move after the match against Kifissia, when he revealed that the Cretans were in the market to sign an attacking midfielder. The player the Greek coach was referring to was Hatzigiovanis.
His impending signing is also linked to the team’s transfer plans for January. Hatzigiovanis could be a solution to fill the position currently held by Tiago Nuz, should the Argentine ultimately decide to leave during the winter transfer window to join Olympiacos.
OFI is thus adding to its roster a player with experience in the Greek league and the ability to play on the wings.
The 29-year-old forward came up through the Panathinaikos academy and made his debut with the senior team in 2016. He played in 167 matches for the Greens, scoring 17 goals and recording 18 assists, and in 2022 he won the Greek Cup.
He then moved to Ankaragücü, where he played for two years, and subsequently transferred to Eyüpspor and Asteras Tripolis.
He has 15 caps with the Greek national team, with his most recent appearance coming on September 10, 2024, when he started in the victory over Ireland (0-2).
Last year, while playing for Omonia, he scored 5 goals and recorded 4 assists in 35 games.”
