Tassos Bakasetas bid farewell to Panathinaikos on social media after 2.5 years with the “Clover,” and will now continue his career with APOEL.
The Greek star posted the following message:
ΣΧΕΤΙΚΑ ΑΡΘΡΑ
“The time has come, after two and a half years, to leave Panathinaikos with the regret that we were unable to bring the team back to the top. It was a tremendous honor and responsibility to wear the captain’s armband, but I’m leaving with a clear conscience, knowing that I never stopped striving for the best.
I feel the need to thank everyone I’ve worked with: the team president, Mr. Yiannis Alafouzos, for his support;
The coaching staff and, of course, all my teammates. The fans for their love of the team, but also for the criticism that helps us become better.
The physical therapists, especially Mike and Panagiotis, for their tireless work and for being there for me during difficult injuries. All the trainers, especially Panagiotis, Angelos, and Vasilis, who did everything they could to keep me in top shape.
The people who work every day at the club, away from the spotlight. Finally, my loved ones. The team managers Nektarios, Giannis, Theo, and Christos. The exercise physiologists Giorgos Papadimitriou and Giannis Tsekouras. Giorgos Mountakis, who is always there, and of course Mr. Grigoris Papavasiliou, who is an exceptional and kind-hearted person.”
