The police arrested two individuals, aged 21 and 19, yesterday as part of an investigation into a robbery and a drug trafficking case.
According to the evidence under investigation, the robbery took place around 2:30 a.m. yesterday in the Erimis area of the Limassol district, with the victim being a 25-year-old food delivery driver, (Police Press Release No. 6, dated 09/08/2026, relevant). While making a food delivery, the 25-year-old was attacked by two individuals, who stole his bag as well as his motorcycle, which they used to flee the scene. The motorcycle was located during the police investigation, abandoned in the Erimis area.

As part of the investigation into the case, evidence emerged against the 21-year-old and the 19-year-old. The keys to the 25-year-old complainant’s motorcycle were found in the 21-year-old’s possession, while in the yard of the two suspects’ home, a waist pouch was found, which was identified as the complainant’s stolen waist pouch.
The 21-year-old and the 19-year-old are also under investigation for possession of drugs with intent to supply to another person, following yesterday’s discovery of a quantity of cannabis with a total gross weight of 772 grams.
Specifically, police officers who went to the two suspects’ residence to locate them observed the 19-year-old throwing an object into the yard. It was subsequently determined that the object consisted of eight packages containing green, dried cannabis plant material, with a total gross weight of 308 grams, as well as a precision scale.
This was followed by an investigation by members of the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN), during which the 21-year-old indicated a spot in an open area in the Erimis region, where four additional packages were found buried, containing green, dried cannabis plant material, with a total gross weight of 464 grams.
The 21-year-old and the 19-year-old were arrested pursuant to court warrants and taken into custody, with investigations continuing at the Episkopi Police Station and the Limassol branch of the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN).
