The Paphos Traffic Police arrested a driver yesterday, Wednesday, as part of a coordinated operation to prevent traffic accidents and crack down on traffic violations.

According to the police, the operation took place from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the areas of Pegeia and Polis Chrysochous.

During the operation, a total of 84 citations were issued, and one vehicle was impounded. Additionally, two individuals were arrested for outstanding traffic fines.

The Traffic Police checks are part of the Police’s efforts to enhance road safety and reduce traffic violations and collisions, the announcement concludes.
