Sascha Zverev has reached the semifinals of the fourth Grand Slam of the season, advancing to the final four at the U.S. Open following his 6-2, 7-5, 6-1 over Dutch player Botich van de Zandschulp (No. 70).
The 29-year-old German tennis player secured his third consecutive victory without dropping a set, following two tough matches that went to five sets. He now aims to win the second major title of his career, following his victory at Roland Garros in June. To reach the final, he will have to overcome Russian Karen Khachanov (No. 50), who advanced after Belgian Alexander Blocks (No. 34) retired in the third set while trailing 6-2, 7-5, 3-2.
