Arda Güler’s progress on the field has not gone unnoticed at Real Madrid, which has already begun the process of renewing the Turkish attacking midfielder’s contract.
According to reports, the Madrid club’s management wants to reward the 21-year-old player’s progress and contributions by offering him a new contract that will run through 2031. At the same time, a significant increase in his salary is expected, so that the new deal reflects the role he now plays on the team.
Güler had initially signed a contract running through 2029 when he moved to Madrid in the summer of 2023 from Fenerbahçe, at just 18 years old. Since then, his role on the roster has changed significantly.
José Mourinho considers the Turkish player particularly important to his plans and uses him primarily as an attacking midfielder, giving him greater freedom near the opponent’s box.
At Real Madrid, they believe that his development over the past few months has made him a key part of the team. As a result, the club’s goal is to keep the player for many more years and show him in practice that he is considered one of the key players of the future.
