The Athens Security Police proceeded with the arrest of the two doctors at the center of the investigation into the death of Giorgos Mazonakis, following the completion of searches at the private clinic on Karneadou Street in Kolonaki and an evaluation of the initial evidence gathered.
Charges of negligent homicide have been filed against them, and following their arrest, they are expected to be brought before the competent prosecutor, who, after reviewing the evidence in the case file to date, is expectedis expected to file criminal charges. It should be noted that the case file does not yet include a forensic medical report, as the autopsy is scheduled to be performed tomorrow in the presence of the technical consultant requested by the singer’s family.

This development comes just a few hours after the two doctors were taken to the Athens Security Police headquarters, where they remained following a lengthy investigation conducted at the clinic in the presence of a prosecutor, an official from the Criminal Investigation Division, and officers from the Greek “FBI.”
