The Nicosia District Court issued an order today barring a 20-year-old man from sports facilities.
The 20-year-old had been arrested at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia on Sunday, September 6, 2026, where the soccer match between APOEL and AEL was taking place. The 20-year-old is charged with assault and causing actual bodily harm, assaulting a police officer, throwing dangerous objects, and assault during a match at a sports venue.

He appeared today before the Nicosia District Court for the filing of charges against him. The next hearing was set for October 12, 2026, while the 20-year-old was ordered to sign a personal bond of €5,000, surrender his travel documents, and report to a police station twice a week.
At the same time, the court issued an order barring him from sports facilities, effective until the conclusion of the trial.
