Investigations are continuing at a rapid pace at the scene of an explosion that occurred at the home of a 31-year-old man in the municipality of Sotira.

According to reports, the investigation is being conducted with the assistance of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Police Headquarters, and the search has been expanded to a radius of several meters from the site.
At first glance, it appears that the explosive device detonated in the garage of the residence while the 31-year-old was inside, and a vehicle was parked there.
It should also be noted that the 31-year-old, who was seriously injured by the bomb explosion that occurred in the garage of the home where he lives, had been the subject of various criminal cases involving the authorities in the recent past.
According to initial reports, shrapnel struck one person, who was transported to Famagusta General Hospital with serious injuries.
The scene has been cordoned off by a large police presence, which is investigating the incident.
