Hercules and Atromitos will face off on Saturday night (September 12 – 9:00 p.m.), at Panthessaliko Stadium, in a highly anticipated matchup for Matchday 4 of the Stoiximan Super League.

The “Old Man” travels to Volos in high spirits, having celebrated an important away win in Tripoli last matchday. The 0-2 victory over Asteras Tripoli marked the team’s first win since returning to the top flight and gave the Thessaloniki side an extra boost of confidence, who have accumulated four points in their first three matches.

Although Heraklis is still unable to play at Kaftanzoglio Stadium due to ongoing construction work, the team is showing that it can rise to the challenge of its return to the “big leagues.” Walter Mazzarri’s team will aim to capitalize on this momentum and celebrate a second consecutive victory.

A key return for the Italian coach is Vitor Mir, who has served his suspension following his ejection in the match against Volos and is now back in the lineup. In contrast, Barsenas, who underwent arthroscopy, and Chromata, who has not yet recovered from the injury that has been bothering him and is unable to play, have been left out.

Hercules’ roster: Athanasiadis, Tsintotas, Karakasidis, Vouros, Pinia, Ross, Tsakla, Lauritsen, Nanou, Soria, Muñoz, Mir, Nizet, Krainc, Sourlis, Kaiboue, Radoya, Anastasiadis, Ivi López, Moreno, Kolic, Marques, Kusta.

On the other side, Atromitos is still looking for its first three points. Dusan Kerkez’s team has just one point to its credit, earned in its previous match against Kalamata. The Peristeri-based team took the lead very early on, but failed to hold onto it and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The task at hand, therefore, is clear for Atromitos, as they need a result that will boost morale and allow them to put their difficult start behind them. The fact that they have conceded goals in all three of their first games is one of the areas they need to improve.

Dušan Kerkez has included Pereas in Atromitos’ roster for the first time. Nunes is out due to an injury. In detail: Athanasiou, Houtesiotis, Dieng, Lyratzis, Moundes, Papadopoulos, Uronen, Magnusson, Mitoglou, Stavropoulos, Tsakmakis, Karamanis, Kotsis, Moutousami, Tsigaras, Batos, Serginio, Pneumonidis, Tzovaras, Tsouber, Tsantilas, Tsiloulis, Perea.

Possible starting lineups:

Heraklis (Matsari): Athanasiadis, Ross, Vouros, Pinia – Soria, Kaiboué, Sourlis, Nanou – Marques, López, Kusta.

Atromitos (Kerkez): Houtesiotis, Lyratzis, Stavropoulos, Mitoglou, Uronen – Tsigaras, Karamanis – Tzovaras, Tsiloulis, Pneumonidis – Tsouber.

Referee: Eleftherios Katopis.

Fourth Official: Fotios Polychronis.
VAR: Spyridon Zampalas.
