Authorities’ investigation into the bomb explosion that occurred Friday night at a residence in Sotira is in full swing.
All possible scenarios regarding the circumstances of the 30-year-old man’s serious injury are being examined, according to the press spokesperson for the Famagusta Police Department, Andreas Konstantinou
Around 9:20 p.m. last night, the police received a report of an explosion in the Sotira area, and as Mr. Konstantinou stated, police officers immediately rushed to the scene, where they found the 30-year-old man seriously injured outside a metal warehouse/garage.

The injured man was initially transported to the Famagusta General Hospital. According to information from CNA, the victim sustained multiple injuries from the explosion. He was intubated and subsequently underwent surgery to stabilize his condition and save his lower limb.
Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

According to information from Alphanews.live, the 30-year-old man lost his right arm.
The scene was immediately cordoned off by the police, while the investigation continued at first light to determine the exact causes and circumstances under which the explosion occurred.
According to reports, the 30-year-old is known to the authorities.
