Konstantinos Karetsas has resumed individual training and is counting down the days until he returns to his regular routine with the rest of the team, according to Westphalia’s coach, Nikos Kovacs, who spoke to “Sky Sports” ahead of the match against Paderborn.
The young Greek player had experienced circulation problems during the Champions League match against Villarreal, resulting in him undergoing tests at the hospital.
In light of this incident, the Croatian coach offered reassuring news about his condition, emphasizing that the tests revealed nothing of concern.
“Fortunately, nothing unusual was found,” Kovac told Sky Sport.
In fact, the coach left open the possibility that Karetsas could even be available for next Saturday’s match against Stuttgart.
“If everything goes as expected and he’s able to train completely normally with the team, then he’ll be an option,” he said.
Konstantinos Karetsas has resumed individual training following the circulatory issues he experienced during the Champions League match against Villarreal CF and will return to the squad shortly.
