A twist in the case of a massive quantity of drugs seized yesterday, Saturday, from two homes in Limassol, as it turns out, the drugs were not more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, as the police had initially reported, but ketamine.
Specifically, in one of the two homes raided by the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN), 126 kilograms of ketamine and precision scales were found, while in the second, authorities found 34 grams of cocaine, 246.5 grams of ketamine, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of MDMA, 4,150 euros, 42 packs of untaxed cigarettes, cell phones, and other evidence.
It should be noted that, after two days of monitoring specific individuals and residences—to which the investigation led following an assessment of intelligence—the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN) carried out a raid, discovering the drugs hidden inside paint buckets.
The police arrested four foreign nationals, two men and two women, who are expected to appear tomorrow before the Limassol District Court for a detention order to be issued. They consist of an Israeli couple and a Palestinian couple.
