The photo of Mazonakis taken by Ioanna Gaka with her cell phone is under scrutiny; what are the authorities trying to determine?

Information is expected to be revealed following the lifting of telephone privacy protections

In recent hours, the authorities have been scrutinizing the photograph of Giorgos Mazonakis that was recovered from Dr. Ioanna Gaka’s cell phone; it is now one of the key pieces of evidence in the investigation into the events that took place inside the clinic in Kolonaki, where the singer suffered a cardiac arrest during a plasmapheresis treatment.

In this particular photo, Giorgos Mazonakis is shown lying on a bed at the clinic while the machine is running. He is wearing a yellow short-sleeved T-shirt, is covered from the waist down with a blanket, and has his head turned to the right, with his eyes closed. An IV catheter is visible in his right hand, and a similar connection appears to be present in his left hand as well.

Investigators are now attempting to determine as accurately as possible when the photograph was taken, why it was taken, and, most importantly, what condition the singer was in at that moment.

At the same time, results are expected from the lifting of telephone privacy restrictions to determine whether this particular photo was sent to another person. Among the scenarios being examined is whether it was sent to the doctor’s husband, who was reportedly at a restaurant at that time, or whether it was transferred to a computer or another device.

The technical analysis of the image itself is also of particular interest. Authorities are examining every detail of the photographic evidence, attempting to determine whether the screens of the devices located near the singer are visible from any point or angle.

The goal is to identify, if possible, evidence related to his vital signs that could shed light on the condition Giorgos Mazonakis was in at the moment the photo was taken.

New allegations against the doctor: “She told my wife she had cancer, when she didn’t”

Meanwhile, new testimonies and allegations regarding the operations of the clinic in Kolonaki are coming to light, just a few hours before the two doctors are scheduled to appear before the investigating judge tomorrow.

One of the new allegations concerns Ioanna Gaka personally and was reported by Alpha TV. A man claimed that the doctor had misdiagnosed his wife, telling her—according to him—that she had cancer, which, he asserts, was not true.

“She told my wife she had cancer, when she didn’t,” the complainant stated.

At the same time, a patient from Russia, who had visited the clinic in the past, reported that she had undergone “stem cell” therapy, as had other members of her family.

“I had undergone ‘stem cell’ therapy, and many members of my family had undergone the same treatment,” she said.

Today at 7:30 p.m., the “public vigil”

As a reminder, today at 7:30 p.m., the “public vigil” for Giorgos Mazonakis at the Holy Trinity Church in Nikaia, so that friends and loved ones may have the opportunity to say their final goodbyes in person.

The vigil will last until the early hours of Monday morning and will serve as a tribute of love and respect in his memory.

The Holy Trinity Church in Nikaia was the church and parish that Giorgos Mazonakis loved dearly, and it was there that his family chose to allow the public to say their final goodbyes.

His funeral will take place on Monday, September 14, at the Third Cemetery of Athens at 1:00 p.m., attended only by close family members.

At the same time, the family warmly requests that, instead of sending wreaths, those who wish to do so make a donation to Humanity Greece.
