The funeral of Giorgos Mazonakis will finally take place tomorrow, Monday, September 14, in Nikaia, with a large crowd in attendance.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church in Nikaia, and anyone who wishes to do so will be able to pay their respects to Giorgos Mazonakis, as the family’s attorney, Babis Lykoudis, clarified today.

Speaking to ERT, Mr. Lykoudis clarified that only the burial—at the Third Cemetery—will take place with just close family members present.
In their announcement regarding the final farewell to George Mazonakis, his family had stated that “the funeral will take place with only close family members present at the Third Cemetery of Athens on Monday, September 14,” which led to the impression that the public would not be able to attend.

Today, however, Mr. Lykoudis set the record straight with his statements on ERT, noting that he has asked the family to issue a correction.
As a reminder, at 7:30 p.m. this evening, Sunday, September 13, a public wake for Giorgos Mazonakis will begin at the Holy Trinity Church in Nikaia.
