In a classic… Atlético Madrid performance, Diego Simeone’s team secured a 3-0 victory on Real Sociedad’s home turf.
The “Roji-Blancos” managed to dictate the pace of the game, capitalized on the chances they created, and, as time went on, increasingly brought the match under their control. On the other hand, Real Sociedad tried to fight back but never found the back of the net.

Atlético, which until the 84th minute had struggled to create any real chances, scored on a penalty kick by Grimaldo.
From that point on, everything fell into place; Real Sociedad opened up, and the scorer of the first goal set up Jonathan David to “seal” the victory in the 90th minute.
And Atlético didn’t stop there. With the home team now throwing everything they had at them, the Madrid side found even more space, and Giuliano Simeone put the finishing touch on the night by scoring the third goal.
