The weather is turning bad again: When can we expect rain, thunderstorms, and hail?

A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region
ALPHANEWSLIVE

Today the weather will be mostly clear, although there will be locally increased low cloud cover or even light fog early in the morning. After noon, however, developing clouds may bring isolated showers or brief isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the mountains and possibly in the south. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and initially locally variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, before temporarily strengthening after noon along the windward coasts to strong winds, 5 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become slightly rough, but in the east it will remain calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 37 degrees inland, around 31 on the western coast, around 33 in the southeast and on the eastern coast, around 32 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 29 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, though later on there will be increased high cloud cover and possibly some local low cloud. Winds will be mainly westerly to northwesterly, light and occasionally moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually weakening to downslope, light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough in the south and east, but will remain slightly rough in the west and north. Temperatures will drop to around 21 degrees inland, around 22 along the coast, and around 18 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather will be mostly clear, although there will be increased high cloud cover on Tuesday. In the afternoons, however, local cloud cover may develop, potentially bringing isolated showers or even thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains.

On Thursday, cloud cover will thicken at times, and after noon, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected in some areas, particularly in the mountains and inland regions. Hail is possible during thunderstorms. On Thursday evening, isolated showers may occur again, mainly in western areas, while isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out along the coast.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Wednesday, remaining slightly above average, while on Thursday they will drop to levels close to what is typical for this time of year.
