PAOK’s return to winning ways following its loss to Panathinaikos was also marked by two historic milestones in the Thessaloniki derby. The “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” defeated Aris 2-0, making the evening particularly significant for both Tyson and Andrija Živković.
Alessio Lisi’s team may not have started the match in the best way, but they gradually took control and, within ten minutes, laid the groundwork for the victory. Edia opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, while in the 42nd minute, Zivkovic scored the second goal, effectively deciding the outcome of the derby in the first half.

That particular goal by the Serbian, however, was not just another goal against Aris. With it, PAOK reached 100 goals in home derbies against the “Yellows” in the First Division and the Super League.
PAOK’s first goal in a home league match against Aris was scored by Apostolos Vassiliadis on October 16, 1960, in a match that ended in a 3-0 victory for the “Double-Headed Eagle.” It took more than six decades for PAOK to reach the 100-goal milestone, with Zivkovic ultimately being the one to have his name associated with that number.
Also of interest is the overall record between the two teams in league matches when PAOK is the home team. In 68 matches, including the playoffs, PAOK has 36 wins, Aris has emerged victorious 13 times, while 19 matches have ended in a draw.
The night was also historic for Tyson. The 38-year-old Brazilian made his 100th appearance in a PAOK jersey in the Super League against Aris.
Taison had made his debut in the Greek league on January 22, 2023, in yet another major derby, against Panathinaikos at Leoforos, when PAOK won 3-0. Since then, he has become one of the team’s most consistent players.
In addition to his 100 league appearances, the Brazilian has added another 69 appearances for PAOK in the Greek Cup and European competitions, reaffirming his significant role on the team in recent years.
