After first making it clear that PAOK’s goal is to win titles and that he intends to be a leader this season, Cedi Osman admitted that his return to OAKA, even as an opponent, is something special for him.
Here are his comments in detail:
On the exhibition games and the team’s performance:
“We played very well against Armani. The friendlies in Italy were very important. We need to identify our mistakes and correct them. It was very important that we spent 10 days together to build our chemistry. We all did a good job. We need to stay humble; there will be ups and downs throughout the season. And we need to see how we’ll respond in these official games.”
On the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament:
“It will be an important tournament against EuroLeague teams like Partizan and Panathinaikos. I’m excited; it’s great to be returning to the OAKA, and I’m looking forward to it.”
On the PAOK Sports Arena and the fans:
“It was really nice at my presentation. I want to connect with the fans; I like that because I’m a player who brings energy, and I can’t wait to see them up close and build a special relationship with them. We have a good team; we have quality. We want to win titles. Bringing my experience to the team and stepping up is what I’ll strive to do. The goal is to win. We’re building something new here. We trust each other and the fans. We have to keep working. We have ambitions, but we have to stay humble.”
On Nick Calathes:
“It’s a luxury to have Nick Calathes as a teammate. He put us in the right positions during the exhibition games; we trust him. He helps us a lot in building good chemistry.”
