Manchester City’s big win over Manchester United was historic (beyond just the score).
Although they were down a man due to Foden’s ejection, the “Citizens” managed to secure a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.
In doing so (and thanks to Haaland’s goal), they became only the second team since the Premier League’s inception to achieve such a feat.
The only other team to have done so prior to Sunday was Everton, which also defeated the “Red Devils” 1-0 on November 24, 2025, even though Idrissa Gueye had been shown a red card.
In fact, Iliman Ndiaye (who was playing for the “Toffees” at the time) was once again on the field for that match and thus became the only player to have appeared in both matches in which Manchester United lost while holding a numerical advantage at home.
