Nea Salamina filed an official complaint regarding the refereeing of the match against AEL, sending a letter to the relevant authorities.
The complaint concerns both the match referee, Konstantinos Fotiou, and the VAR operator, Andreas Tsampalas. At the same time, the “Red-and-Whites” are also complaining about Fotiou’s behavior toward members of the Board of Directors, which they describe as highly inappropriate and out of line.

The Board of Directors of NEA SALAMINA AMMOCHOSTOS announces that it has filed an official complaint with the relevant authorities regarding the officiating of the match on the 3rdagainst AEL Limassol, which took place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the “ALFAMEGA” Stadium.
The complaint concerns the match referee, Konstantinos Fotiou, as well as the VAR operator, Andreas Tsampalas.
Specifically, the match referee was accused not only of the serious refereeing errors attributed to him by our Club, for his behavior toward members of the Board of Directors, which our Club considers utterly inappropriate and out of line.
