Olympiacos is counting down to tomorrow’s Europa League opener against Jagiellonia (10:00 p.m.) at the “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium. Imanol Alguacil appears to be considering several changes, at least three to the starting lineup.
Suspended player Fortounis and the injured Sa are definitely out, while Popovic, Garcia, Sipioni, Roca, and Clayton, with Yaremchuk replacing the injured El Kaabi on the roster a few days ago. Tsikinio and Pirola finished the match against OFI with minor injuries, but they will most likely be available.
Zelson is expected to earn a spot in the starting lineup; he was particularly active in the few minutes he played against OFI, while Yaremchuk appears to have the edge to start in place of Gonzalez. In addition, Ese is expected to start, partnering with Froiler in midfield, with Puerta playing behind the striker. Another possible change is Bruno replacing Tiknizian, while a change in one of the two center backs cannot be ruled out.
Olympiacos’ final training session will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Renti training facility, while two hours earlier, Imanol and Ese will speak at the customary press conference. The Polish team’s press conference is scheduled for 8:00 p.m., and they will train at the “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium at 9:00 p.m.
