Connor Goldson is resolutely continuing on his path to recovery, sharing updates on social media about the progress he has made.
The English defender did not hide his pride at taking a particularly important step, as for the first time since his second open-heart surgery, he was able to train with the rest of the Apollon team.
“For the first time yesterday, I drove home and felt truly proud of myself.
Of all my professional accomplishments, this somehow feels like my greatest achievement to date.
Sixty-two days after my second open-heart surgery, I trained with the team for the first time yesterday.
They told me to stop and wondered why I’d want to come back, after everything I’ve already accomplished. But this is my story.
Today marks nine weeks.
I need to get fitter, stronger, and keep pushing myself, but I’m getting closer and closer to where I want to be.
“The comeback continues.”
