The global e-commerce platform Temu has entered into a strategic partnership with the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association – CITEA), with the aim of supporting Cyprus’s business and technology community by creating new opportunities for digital growth.

As part of this partnership, Temu will actively participate in CITEA’s programs, events, and network of member companies, contributing to initiatives that promote digital entrepreneurship and business growth. At the same time, CITEA, as the official representative of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector in Cyprus, will strengthen the connection between its members and Temu, highlighting the opportunities digital platforms offer Cypriot businesses to access new markets and enhance their international competitiveness.

This initiative is a natural extension of Temu’s ever-growing presence in Cyprus. In 2025, the company launched the Local Seller Program, enabling eligible Cypriot businesses to capitalize on e-commerce opportunities and expand their reach to consumers across Europe.

For CITEA, this partnership reaffirms its long-standing commitment to strengthening and internationalizing the Cypriot technology ecosystem, by connecting its member companies with international digital platforms, promoting innovation, and creating new growth opportunities in an increasingly digital global economy. “Collaborating with a global leader in e-commerce, such as Temu, creates substantial growth opportunities for our members and, more broadly, for the technology and IT business community in Cyprus,” said CITEA President George Malekkos.

“At CITEA, we remain committed to supporting Cypriot technology companies, helping them expand their presence, capitalize on the opportunities of the digital economy, and enhance their competitiveness on an international level. Through this partnership, our members gain greater visibility and access to European markets, while at the same time strengthening Cyprus’s position as a modern, outward-looking, and innovative technology hub.”

As part of this partnership, Temu will participate in local initiatives that will bring it even closer to Cypriot entrepreneurs and businesses in the digital economy. The initiative aims to strengthen local entrepreneurship, to foster closer ties between the two organizations, and to highlight success stories that demonstrate how Cypriot businesses can leverage digital tools and online platformsto grow and expand into international markets. At the same time, the two organizations will develop joint communication initiatives, highlighting the opportunities Temu offers to Cypriot merchants and local businesses. “Cyprus has a dynamic and ambitious business community,” said a Temu spokesperson. “Our partnership with CITEA allows us to work even more closely with local businesses, helping them leverage digital channels, gain access to international demand, and expand into new markets.”
