Panathinaikos’s 2-0 victory over Kifissia in the Greek Cup was sealed by Azedine Ounaï. The Moroccan midfielder played the final half-hour, opened the scoring with a penalty kick, and… sealed the win with a spectacular goal in the 89th minute.
The 26-year-old star has already scored three goals in his first four appearances with the “Greens,” while during his first stint, in the 2024–25 season, he scored a total of 5 goals in 37 appearances.
The African player has played a total of 141 minutes this season, meaning he finds the back of the net every 47 minutes of play!
It should be noted that Ounaï has never scored more than 5 goals in a single season in his career; aside from his 2024/25 season with Panathinaikos, he also scored that many in the 2020–21 season with Avranches in France’s third division, as well as during the 2025–26 season with Girona in LaLiga.
It seems, however, that he will achieve this goal this year, as he has started the season in fine form and is playing for a team that creates many scoring opportunities and scores frequently, such as this year’s Panathinaikos.
