Every… year is better than the last! Manchester United managed to pull off yet another upset, handing Babis Kostoulas’s Brighton the chance to celebrate a major upset.
Specifically, Michael Carrick’s team, despite holding a 2-0 lead in the Carabao Cup match, proved to be its own worst enemy and suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Hurzeler’s team at Old Trafford, thus being eliminated from the competition.
This outcome marks a historic blunder for the “Red Devils” who, for the first time in 50 years, managed to throw away a two-goal lead and lose at home!
The last time this happened, the “culprit” was Tottenham, way back in 1976, when they won by the same score!
