The process of taking statements has begun as part of the investigations being conducted by the Larnaca CID into plasma extraction machines, according to information received by CNA.
The Larnaca CID’s investigations are in full swing following the receipt of a letter from the Department of Medical Services, dated September 14. The letter refers to two medical centers, one of which appears to have had plasma collection machines on site.

Upon receipt of the letter, instructions were given to the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department to investigate, in cooperation with the Department of Medical Services, whether the operation of these specific machines violates the law.
A meeting was held in recent days, and an investigative team has been formed to look into the matters raised in the letter.

The investigation is being conducted in cooperation with the Medical Services and in light of the findings of a previous investigation, which was carried out following a letter in 2023 regarding the same medical center.
