Initially, the tournament was set to take place in Rhodes; however, following the widespread outbreak of gastroenteritis among Panathinaikos and AEK players—who had participated in a tournament on the island a few days earlier— the teams expressed concern, which the Greek Basketball Federation (ESAKE) took seriously, leading to the change of venue.
It is taken for granted that fans will not be allowed to attend the two-day games, but invitations are expected to be extended to the teams, and the stands are expected to be filled with students and academy athletes. Further details will be announced shortly by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (ESAKE).
