Giorgos Mazonakis: The revelation about the phone call shortly before his death – “Unfortunately, I didn’t make it in time”

The singer's former lawyer and friend, George Merkoulidis, revealed that he had been instructed to draft an initial will, but the process was never completed.

A previously unknown aspect of the final months of Giorgos Mazonakis’s life was revealed by his former lawyer and friend, Giorgos Merkoulidis, speaking on the morning of Thursday, September 17, on MEGA.

As he noted, the singer had not drafted or signed a will, even though the two of them had discussed the matter and had even taken the first step toward preparing one. Giorgos Merkoulidis explained that it was he who, following the singer’s ordeal with the Dromokaiteio Hospital in the summer of 2025, had suggested that he settle this particular matter.
