And through CY-Alert, the yellow warning issued by the Meteorological Service regarding the severe weather “hitting” Cyprus was sent to citizens’ cell phones.
“Risk Level: YELLOW. Isolated severe thunderstorms are expected to affect the region intermittently, initially the western half of the island and subsequently other areas, from today through tomorrow afternoon.”

As a reminder, the yellow warning for severe weather conditions goes into effect at 9:00 p.m. tonight and will remain in effect until 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
