The joint appearance of Yiannis Alafouzos and Dimitris Giannakopoulos at a basketball game, following an invitation from the club’s power broker, takes on historic significance for the entire Pan.
The owner of the soccer division gladly accepted the invitation and, for the first time ever, watched a basketball game alongside the club’s majority shareholder.

Countdown to the Panathinaikos derby
The two of them sent a message of Panathinaikos unity, while during a visit by organized fans of the “clover” to the suite where the two powerful men were seated, among other things, chants such as “We want you all united for the good of Panathinaikos” and “Well done on the move—that’s how we want you, united” were heard.
At the same time, in the same spirit of unity, the characteristic line “Let’s go win it all in soccer and basketball” was also heard, reflecting the desire for a shared path and success in both sports.
