New serious allegations have come to light regarding Ioanna Gaka, the 56-year-old doctor who was taken into custody in connection with the death of Giorgos Mazonakis. A man told SKAI that this doctor diagnosed his wife with fallopian tube cancer and gave her a bag of vitamins and supplements, while, he claims, she told him he had bacteria in his blood. However, when they subsequently visited other doctors, they learned that they were perfectly healthy.
Michalis Karakousis stated that he and his wife decided to consult this particular doctor because they had heard that she could detect “hidden” conditions that had no obvious symptoms. According to his account, the first examination was of his wife, who, he claims, received this diagnosis and was asked to undergo a series of tests.

Concerned that he might also have an undiagnosed health problem, he visited the same clinic a few days later. As he described, he underwent a test using a machine that required him to remain standing for 1.5 hours, after which he gave a blood sample. He was then informed that there were bacteria in his blood and that he needed immediate treatment. “I saw the bacteria; I had bacteria—the doctor showed them to me,” he said.
As he reported, tests and medication followed; however, according to him, the medication was not prescribed by that particular doctor but by another doctor. After asking why she didn’t write the prescription herself, he claims he received no answer.
The couple, as the complainant stated, subsequently consulted other doctors and were ultimately informed that there was no health issue.
In fact, as he noted, another doctor told his wife that it was extremely unlikely she would develop cancer. “She had such a strong constitution,” Mr. Karakousis asserted.

He filed a complaint with the Medical Association regarding the incident, and as he said, a few days later, she received a phone call from the clinic, with the doctors insisting that the diagnoses were correct and that all procedures had been carried out legally.
