Video footage featuring the accused doctor, in the case of the death of Giorgos Mazonakis, giving seminars on intravenous stem cell therapy to a colleague from the Philippines, was obtained by ERTnews.

As shown in the video, the doctor, who is currently in custody, is administering stem cell therapy to the patient for holistic wellness at the Karneadou clinic.

In fact, in a social media post, this doctor thanks him for training her in this specific therapy so that she, too, can administer it.

The moment was captured on May 20 in Kolonaki. According to information from the internet, the doctor works at a clinic in the Philippines that specializes in regenerative medicine, dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and stem cell science.

The doctor diagnosed a couple who had no health problems with serious illnesses

New testimonies are coming to light regarding the doctor who was remanded in custody in connection with the death of Giorgos Mazonakis.

Specifically, a man alleged that she diagnosed his wife with fallopian tube cancer and prescribed her vitamins and supplements.

“My wife came home terrified. Before she even started the tests the doctor had ordered, she had already begun taking the vitamins—she had a whole bag full of them,” the complainant said.

Worried that he might also have an undiagnosed health problem, he visited the same clinic.

“He hooked me up to a machine; I sat there on some electrodes; I sat on a magnetic mat. I had to remain motionless for an hour and a half, and I endured it because I wanted to see where this was leading. He put me on a second machine in another room, where he performed bio-resonance therapy on me and drew my blood. “And he showed me my blood and said, ‘You see this blood? It’s your own blood, and it contains bacteria,’” he added.

The couple, suspicious, consulted other doctors, who determined that there was no health issue, and they immediately filed a verbal complaint with the medical association.

“They called me themselves after two or three days and told me that the clinic is completely legitimate. I told them, ‘The woman claims to be a holistic doctor—tell me what kind of specialty that is. I never received an answer,” added the complainant.

How Does the ISA Handle Complaints?

ERTnews contacted members of the Athens Medical Association (AMA) to fully clarify the process for filing a complaint as well as the checks on the legality of medical practices.

A complaint may be filed verbally or in writing with the medical association. It can now be filed without the 50-euro filing fee if there is a risk to human life or the public interest.

Complaints are reviewed by the legal department and, provided there are no legal loopholes, are then forwarded to the Administrative Department, where, after two meetings, a decision is made on whether to close the case or conduct a further investigation, and the accused party’s opinion is solicited.

Subsequently, the 17 members of the Administrative Department decide whether to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee for disciplinary action.
