Cell phones, computers, financial records, and new statements bring to light the alleged “extensive list” of the two defendants accused of the death of Giorgos Mazonakis.

Singers, actors, celebrities, businesspeople, and even politicians are reportedly included on the list of the couple’s contacts and clients, according to initial findings from the digital analysis of the seized devices.
Efforts to recover deleted files are continuing at the Hellenic Police Forensic Laboratories, as authorities believe that evidence regarding the couple’s activities may emerge. According to officials, the two defendants allegedly systematically deleted data from their devices, a fact that raised questions about whether they were attempting to conceal information regarding their client list or previous appointments.
Meanwhile, police are awaiting the results of toxicology tests, seeking answers regarding the cause of the singer’s death. The medical examiner is investigating whether there were any substances in Giorgos Mazonakis’s system or whether he was administered any medication before or during the plasmapheresis treatment on Karnea Street.
The Two Time Gaps
Authorities are focusing on two critical time periods. The first concerns the approximately 43 minutes from the moment Giorgos Mazonakis allegedly lost consciousness until the arrival of the ambulance. The second concerns the approximately three hours that elapsed before the couple reported to the police, following the singer’s transport to the hospital.
The data from the analysis of the cell phones are of particular interest. According to the investigation’s findings, both devices remained locked for a significant period of time and were subsequently unlocked within just a few seconds of each other. The 58-year-old man’s cell phone remained locked, except for a 36-second period, while the 57-year-old woman’s phone was unlocked for 55 seconds. The devices were activated almost simultaneously, at 16:48:26 and 16:49:17, respectively.
The Client Base and the Expansion
The 62-year-old hypnotherapist remains under investigation; Giorgos Mazonakis had a scheduled appointment with him following the bloodletting procedure. He, who is expected to testify before the investigating judge, has stated that he had an “open collaboration” with the 57-year-old woman and that they “exchanged clients.” Authorities are expected to use his testimony to build a picture of the couple’s clientele.
At the same time, authorities are investigating the alleged attempt to expand their operations outside of Attica. According to reports, they had contacted hotels in Antiparos and Mykonos regarding the use of their facilities, while the creation of a VIP resort-wellness clinic on a seaside plot of approximately 100 stremmata in Ermionida was reportedly also being considered.
Their finances have also come under scrutiny. The Money Laundering Authority is investigating the financial records and the “source of wealth” of the two defendants, while their activities in the medical equipment sector are also being examined.
Police determined that the couple operated a dealership for hemodialysis machines. According to the machine’s log found at the clinic on Karneadou Street, 10 treatments were reportedly performed in just 12 days, generating a profit of nearly 60,000 euros.
