Atromitos has been extremely active in the free agent market; according to reports, in addition to the 25-year-old Ghanaian attacking midfielder, Kelvin Ofori (who has arrived in Athens and will undergo medicals by Tuesday), is also set to sign Danny Garcia!
We’re, of course, talking about the Olympiacos star, who is moving to the Peristeri-based club as a free agent, having already signed a one-year contract. After all, this season he’s made just three appearances (two with Nijmegen and one in Volos), none of them under the Piraeus club’s new head coach, Imanol Alguacil, having been left out of the squad for the match against Levadiakos (September 20, 5:00 p.m.) as well.
Atromitos was looking to strengthen this position as well, in order to ensure depth and quality—which, of course, the experienced midfielder can provide, given his extensive experience in competitions such as the Champions League.
It’s worth noting that the 36-year-old star, throughout his illustrious career—having cut his teeth at Alicante (29 appearances) and Getafe B (36 appearances)— went on to make 224 appearances (3 goals / 5 assists) for Eibar and 195 (1 goal / 7 assists) for his beloved club, Athletic Bilbao!
He moved from the Basque club to Olympiacos in 2024, racking up 72 appearances (1 goal / 2 assists), celebrating the 2025 domestic double and the 2026 Super Cup. He also has the Spanish Cup (2024) and the Spanish Super Cup (2021) with Bilbao to his credit.
