The 29-year-old man, who was struck by a vehicle in the early morning hours in Paralimni, is in serious condition and on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit.
According to the latest update from the police, the 29-year-old has suffered a severe traumatic brain injury as well as multiple fractures and is being treated on a ventilator in serious condition.
The traffic accident occurred around 4:00 a.m., on Vrysoudiou Street, when a vehicle, under circumstances currently under investigation, struck the 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman.

Immediately after the collision, the driver fled the scene, with the Famagusta Traffic Police continuing their investigation both to determine the circumstances of the accident and to locate the vehicle and the driver.
The 28-year-old woman was also taken to Famagusta General Hospital, where she received first aid and was discharged.
