Everything will be decided on the day of Sakellaridis's match against Gombos

ALPHANEWSLIVE

Our country’s battle against Slovakia in Košice for a spot in the 2027 Davis Cup Qualifiers is in full swing!

Just a few hours after the Tsitsipas brothers’ defeat in doubles, Stefanos tied the series once again and gave Greece the chance to claim the coveted spot in the next round of the tournament in the fifth and final match!

To secure the victory and tie the series at 2-2, the 28-year-old champion had to stage a major comeback and defeat Alex Molchan 2-1 in sets (2-6, 6-3, 6-4) over Alex Molchan after an hour and 57 minutes of play, stepping up his game after the second set.

Now, everything in the Greece vs. Slovakia tie will be decided on Sunday afternoon (September 20) in the match between Stefanos Sakellaridis (No. 136) against Norbert Gombos (No. 353).
