Manchester United avoided defeat at "Craven Cottage," but not another loss of points in the Premier League. The “Red Devils” fell behind on an own goal by Lisandro Martínez, only to equalize in the 89th minute through Matheus Cunha and ultimately secure a point with a 1-1 draw against Fulham.
The first half ended scoreless, with United controlling possession and creating more scoring chances, but unable to find a way to break through the home team’s defense.
It was Fulham who took the lead in the 63rd minute. Lisandro Martínez accidentally sent the ball into his own net, giving the Londoners a 1-0 lead.
United pressed in the final minutes and finally found the breakthrough in the 89th minute. Patrick Dorgu passed the ball to Matheus Cunha, and the Brazilian, with a shot from the edge of the box—which also deflected off a defender—beat Leno to tie the game at 1-1.
The score remained unchanged until the end, with United earning a point but continuing to struggle at the start of the season. After five matches, they have just one win and a total of 5 points, while for Fulham, this was only their second point in the league.
