PAOK had to fight hard, but emerged victorious from Agrinio, defeating Panetolikos 3-1 in the 5th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.
PAOK laid the groundwork in the first half, when goals by Taha Ali and Ndiaye gave them a two-goal lead and they appeared to be in complete control of the match.
After the break, however, things became much more difficult. Panetolikos pulled one back with a goal by Esteban, gained ground on the field, and kept up the pressure until the very last minute, while PAOK lost Taha Ali, Pavlenka, and Elustondo
Despite the setbacks and the suffocating pressure from the home team, PAOK held on to the lead and celebrated a hard-fought but valuable away win, which brought them to 12 points and into 2nd place before the international break.
