The Fotis Fotiadis Public Scientific and Cultural Foundation is celebrating 30 years since the establishment and ongoing contributions of the Cyprus Natural History Museum, an important venue for environmental education, awareness-raising, and the promotion of Cyprus’s natural wealth. To mark this anniversary, it is organizing a special festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Photos Photiades Breweries facility, with free admission.
With the central theme “NATURE • KNOWLEDGE • EXPLORATION,” the Cyprus Natural History Museum invites children, families, and the general public to a special day filled with play, creativity, discoveries, and little surprises. A whole new world opens up before visitors, where nature becomes play, knowledge becomes experience, and exploration becomes an opportunity to discover the world around us. From the traces of life that take us back millions of years to the creatures living alongside us today, from the sea and the salt marshes to the aquatic world, plants, and nature’s tiny organisms, the Festival offers many different opportunities for exploration. Creativity will meet nature through colors, recycled materials, play, and hands-on experiences, giving young and old alike the opportunity to explore, create, and learn while having fun. Because nature isn’t just something we see—it’s a world worth getting to know, loving, and protecting.
ΣΧΕΤΙΚΑ ΑΡΘΡΑ
The goal of this special event is to serve as an opportunity for us all to get a little closer to nature and remember how important it is to understand and protect the world around us. Because our connection with nature begins with small moments: a discovery, a game, a new insight, a child’s gaze full of curiosity.
