Christoforos Tornaritis congratulates Nikos Christodoulides on his decision to appoint his brother, Nikos Tornaritis, as Special Political Envoy of the President of the Republic on the Cyprus Issue to countries in Asia and Africa.
In a post, Christoforos Tornaritis notes that “as an individual, I have proven over the years that I think and take a stance independently, without partisan biases. That is why today I feel the need to say that I consider the President’s decision to be an excellent choice.”
As Nikos emphasizes, “beyond being my brother, he is, to me, one of the most honorable people who have served in the political life of this country. He has vast political and international experience, knowledge of the Cyprus issue, and a significant network of contacts abroad.”
According to Christoforos Tornaritis, Nikos Tornaritis is taking on the position of Envoy without a salary, “offering his services to his homeland without any financial compensation.”
“In fact, as he told me, he will mostly travel in economy class so as not to burden the state,” he adds.
At the same time, he wishes Nikos Tornaritis every success in his new mission.
I would like to publicly congratulate the President of the Republic, @Christodulides, for his decision to appoint Nikos Tornaritis as the President’s Special Political Envoy for the Cyprus Issue to countries in Asia and Africa.
