Haris Loizidis expressed his confidence in the potential of our national team.
The president of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) was present at the first training session and spoke to the players and the coaching staff, conveying the message that our team can achieve success through the Nations League.
Mr. Loizidis was accompanied at the training session by Vice President Theodoros Theodoulou, Fotis Fotiou, Chairman of the National Teams Committee and one of the Vice Presidents of the CFF, and General Director Andreas Morias.
Here is what the CFF President said in detail:
“We are embarking on a new competition, and the beginning is half the battle. We want to compete for and achieve good results so that we can move forward.
I want to thank the coach, his staff, the national teams’ administrative office, and my colleagues on the Executive Committee.
I want you to stay strong and believe in the outcome, because the whole world is expecting results from this tournament. In the previous tournament, we showed that we have what it takes, and we want to succeed in this one.
In the previous tournament, we had some unfortunate results that led to our elimination. Some of the teams we faced qualified for the World Cup.
The Nations League gives teams like ours the opportunity to achieve success. I believe in our coaching staff, and I wish everyone the best of luck.
This tournament is our chance to make a name for ourselves; I have great faith in our coaching staff. Good luck.”
