It appears that the three main suspects in the case on August 12 and September 9, according to the three main suspects in the case involving the massive quantity of ketamine seized by the authorities.
Tests conducted by the Cyprus Anti-Narcotics Agency (YKAN) revealed that the 390 kilograms of the narcotic substance arrived in Cyprus on behalf of the first suspect from Palestine, as shipping documents were found in his possessionshipping documents.
In fact, the warehouse’s security cameras recorded him going there to pick up the buckets containing ketamine.
The case came to light last week when, acting on a tip, members of the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN) initially discovered 126 kilograms of ketamine in a residence and subsequently another 263 kilograms in a warehouse.
The three suspects were brought before the court again, where their detention was extended for another 8 days. The fourth suspect, who is the wife of the first suspect, was released last night.
According to evidence gathered by the YKAN, the third suspect from Israel appears to have been the person who communicated with the shipping company responsible for importing the drugs into Cyprus.
As for the Palestinian, he confessed to investigators that he was storing the 126 kilograms of ketamine found in his home until they were picked up. He stated that he was to be paid 5,000 euros for this job.
As for the second suspect, he is not cooperating with authorities, invoking his right to remain silent. However, investigators found photos on his cell phone of invoices detailing the drug shipments, as well as photos of other quantities of drugs and scales. In addition, they found an internet search for warehouses belonging to a specific company in a European country, where the shipping containers were delivered for shipment to Cyprus.
Authorities believe that the 390 kilograms of ketamine were imported into Cyprus with the intention of being shipped onward to Israel.
